Morgan praises strong links with employers as he opens new facility at Yale College

Rhodri Morgan, first minister of Wales, unveiled a new Engineering and Construction Centre at Yale College in Wrexham.

Morgan said: 鈥淐onstruction and engineering skills are an area of high priority in Wales and I鈥檓 delighted to see Yale responding positively to today鈥檚 labour market in north east Wales in providing a Centre for Excellence offering a wide range of vocational disciplines.鈥�

The 拢5m facility, funded by the Welsh government, will train students of all ages for jobs in computer aided design, precision engineering and construction and automotive crafts.

Morgan also praised the college鈥檚 close relationship with employers including JCB, Scottish Power and Airbus.
