Deal for east London council includes 拢2.9bn housing lot and will run for 10 years
Contractors are on notice for a 拢6.8bn framework for work in Tower Hamlets.
The deal has been set up to help the east London borough鈥檚 council appoint contractors to carry out construction work across four different sectors.
The categories are new-build housing, including flats and houses for social and mixed tenure occupation on brownfield, greenfield and infill sites, education construction projects and regeneration projects.
There is also a lot for general building work.
Each lot has been divided into different value bands 鈥 up to 拢500,000, between 拢500,000 and 拢5m, between 拢5m and 拢15m and more than 拢15m.
The housing construction lot, which will be subsequently divided by value, is worth up to 拢2.9bn.
The education, regeneration and general construction lots are expected to be worth up to 拢1.8bn each.
The framework is set to run for 10 years.
