Appointed 13 development partners to redevelop an initial 75 sites across 300 acres

Transport for London is planning to bring forward 鈥渟everal decades鈥 of commercial and housing work through its newly launched property framework, the client鈥檚 commercial development director Graeme Craig has told 黑洞社区.

Earlier this month Transport for London (TfL) appointed 13 development partners - including Balfour Beatty, Canary Wharf Group and Berkeley Group - to redevelop an initial 75 sites across 300 acres of its 5,700-acre property portfolio.

Craig described this first tranche of projects as 鈥渏ust the tip of the iceberg鈥, adding the client could potentially redevelop thousands of acres.

Craig anticipates that TfL鈥檚 partners will take the lead on procuring contractors and consultants, but the organisation could take on a more hands-on role as its programme develops.
