Polypipe Civils has launched the Polystorm Xtra Modular Cell, a system for providing stormwater attenuation and soakaway for projects where there is heavy traffic.

Designed to offer a lightweight and robust solution for below-ground drainage, Polystorm Xtra offers the advantage of shallower installations, due to the 0.2m height of each unit.

Each cell weighs 6kg, has a void ratio of 94% and can be buried to a maximum depth of 5m, depending on soil conditions and load requirements.

As an extension to the existing modular cell range, which includes Polystorm and Polystorm Lite for use in trafficked and non-trafficked applications respectively, Polystorm Xtra offers a maximum load-bearing capacity of 80 tonnes. It can be used as a stand-alone solution in heavily trafficked areas, or as part of a hybrid installation alongside Polystorm or Polystorm Lite cells.
