Bennetts Associates Architects plans to redevelop the famous theatre in London’s West End get go-ahead
The Bennetts Associates Architects-designed redevelopment of the grade II* listed Shaftesbury Theatre has been granted planning permission by Camden council.
The redevelopment of the theatre, an iconic landmark on Shaftesbury Avenue in London’s West End, consists of internal and external alterations to the theatre’s existing stagehouse and flytower, enabling the theatre to stage larger productions.
The Shaftesbury Theatre was designed by the renowned theatre architect Bertie Crewe and opened in 1911.
