Economy committee has called for written submissions
A select committee at the Scottish parliament (pictured) has launched an inquiry into the nation鈥檚 construction industry.
The Economy, Energy and Fair Work Committee said it wants to investigate the procurement model, access to finance, skills, innovation, and meeting Scotland鈥檚 infrastructure demand.
It also said it wants to ensure the sector 鈥渞ealises its full potential in contributing to a productive and inclusive Scottish economy鈥.
The committee has a call for written views, which it will accept up until 13 February.
It follows the decision by the Scottish goverment to consult on reforming retention practises.
Last week, Scottish first minister Nicola Sturgeon pledged 拢35m for a new bridge crossing the River Tay near Perth.
