Amec has sold its concrete business to specialist contractor Roger Bullivant in the latest stage of its construction business sell-off
Amec announced today that it has sold Buchan Concrete Solutions, including several contracts, to Roger Bullivant for an undisclosed sum. Buchan, which employs about 170 people, generated turnover of 拢29m in the year ended 31 December 2006.

Chief executive Samir Brikho said: 鈥淚 am very pleased that we have found a strong purchaser who wants to further develop and invest in another of Amec鈥檚 non-core businesses. The successful disposal of these businesses is a key objective for 2007.鈥�
Amec will provide an update on the sale of its construction businesses on 16 May.
