The 500,000m2 development will include a hotel, offices and apartments
Architect RMJM has received planning permission to build one of Europe鈥檚 tallest towers in Istanbul.
The 300m-high structure will tower above the Turkish capital and contain offices, apartment and a hotel.
Turkish construction companies Varyap and GAP Insaat are developing the scheme which will be a landmark in the city鈥檚 financial district.
The 500,000m2 development will also contain a further two smaller blocks rising out of a podium.
Jonathan Knight, design principal at RMJM, said: 鈥淭his project has been an exercise in urban planning as much as architecture - it is about the spaces in between the buildings as much the buildings themselves.
鈥淥ur intentions were to create a new public destination - a new heart for Atasehir that was first and foremost inclusive and accessible to the people of the city.鈥
