Firm will target continued growth in London and the South-east

Redrow has put its Scottish business up for sale as it targets continued growth in London and the South-east.

The Scottish division accounted for 9% of the housebuilder鈥檚 拢397m total turnover in the last financial year, ending 30 June 2010.

The Scottish business turned over 拢31m and made a small loss, Redrow said in a trading update to the City.

The housebuilder said it will continue its expansion drive in London and the South-east to increase the group鈥檚 average selling price.

Redrow expects to complete the sale of its Scottish business 鈥渋n the coming months鈥�.

The firm also reported positive trading figures for the start of the year, with its private order book and average sales price up on the same period last year.
