Group chairman gets full bonus after group stays in profit in 2009

Berkeley chairman Tony Pidgley received a 拢1.5m bonus in 2009, according to the firm鈥檚 final report and accounts, published today.

The bonus, which was on top of his 拢750k salary, was received after meeting dividend and land expenditure targets. With pension and other benefits, Pidgley鈥檚 total package totalled 拢2.41m.

Berkeley Group managing director Rob Perrins, who was finance director for most of the period covered by the results, received a 拢700,000 bonus, on top of his 拢350k salary, taking home 拢1.13m in total.

The group has already reported profits of 拢124m for the year on revenues of 拢702m, down 30% from 2008.
