Galliford Try, Morgan Sindall and Wates Living Space among those to win a place

social housing

Contractors Kier, Keepmoat, Wates Living Space and Willmott Dixon are among 33 firms that have been appointed to a 拢1bn housing framework for social housing provider Circle.

The framework includes both projects worth less than 拢1m and those larger than 拢10m covering new homes, refurbishment and regeneration and will last for four years.

The total value of the framework is between 拢500m and 拢1bn over its lifetime.

Also on the framework, which is sub-divided by size and region, are Galliford Try, Morgan Sindall, Mansell, Durkan, Leadbitter and Lakehouse.

Mike Ward, director of housing growth and mobility at Circle Housing Group, said the firm was 鈥渟tepping up its development programme鈥.

He added: 鈥淐ompetition for appointment to the framework was fierce, with almost 100 applications.  This resulted in a very high standard of submissions, and Circle can be confident that we have the right mix to deliver quality homes over the next four years.鈥
