T&T to manage 拢75m Bootle scheme

Osborne + Co has been given the green light for its second project with Santander.

The approval of the 拢75m campus in Bootle comes two months after the pair鈥檚 first scheme - the Spanish banking giant鈥檚 new 拢150m UK tech hub in Milton Keynes - was given the all clear.

Construction work is due to start on the Bootle scheme by spring next year.

Flan McNamara, the man in charge of building the Shard at London Bridge for developer Sellar, who is now a director with Osborne + Co, said: 鈥淭his takes us one step closer to commencing on site and developing a ground-breaking purpose-built workplace for Santander.鈥

Osborne + Co has brought in London-based architect JCA, which is headed by Jack Carter who worked with McNamara on the London Bridge development when he was lead architect at Shard designer Renzo Piano 黑洞社区 Workshop, to work on the scheme..

The new development will provide 220,000ft2 of office space and include a community bank branch and landscaped grounds that will be open to the public.

The offices are designed to accommodate around 2,500 staff and will provide flexible workspace and meeting rooms over four floors with staff facilities to include a ground-floor gym and restaurant.

The wider project team includes Max Fordham as M&E engineer and Turner & Townsend who will provide project and cost management services.
