Architect Nightingale Associates has won planning approval for a 拢90m scheme for Guildford College, completely overhauling its Stoke Park campus. At 28,000m2, it is one of the specialist education architect's biggest ever projects.

The development will include a series of so-called 鈥減avilions in the park,鈥� which will form academies, each designed with a separate architectural language. The scheme will have outdoor rooms and teaching spaces.

Christian Lawrence, director at Nightingale's Dartford office, said: 鈥淲ith this design, we have been able to integrate functionality with individuality by incorporating a number of interesting spaces in which learning can take place.

鈥淭he bold, contemporary theme of this building is key to ensuring a simple, clear organisational framework and reflects the college's mission, character and qualities.鈥�
