Architect already working on Laing O鈥橰ourke鈥檚 Central station deal
John McAslan + Partners has won a scheme to design a new Metro station in Sydney.
The architect behind the extension of London鈥檚 King鈥檚 Cross station has teamed up with local firm Woods Bagot for the new station at Waterloo.
The station, which is expected to cost A$800m (拢425m), will be built by Melbourne-based contractor John Holland.
McAslan is working on the station while Woods Bagot is drawing up plans for an over-station development which will run across five buildings.
The pair are already working together on a new Metro station for Sydney鈥檚 Central station. The A$995m (拢526m) scheme is being built by Laing O鈥橰ourke and is due to finish in 2024.
