Mace has made two senior hires, recruiting from rival contractors Laing O鈥橰ourke and Sisk Construction.

Tom Gent (pictured) joins Mace as head of innovation from Laing O鈥橰ourke, and Jon Harris joins as head of BIM from Sisk Construction.

Mace said the appointments would improve its 鈥渁bility to harness technology and adopt modern methods of construction鈥�.

Head of innovation is a newly-created role at Mace, with responsibility for improving construction delivery, through methods including greater use of prefabrication. At Laing O鈥橰ourke, Gent was architectural leader in its engineering excellence group.
