Tory leadership candidate also says she does not yet have a view on Heathrow expansion
Tory leadership candidate Andrea Leadsom has said she would review HS2 if she becomes prime minister, and does not yet have a view on Heathrow expansion.
Leadsom made the comments in an interview with ITV News today, ahead of the second round of voting in the Tory leadership contest this afternoon, which will whittle down the candidates from three to two. The other two candidates are frontrunner Theresa May and Michael Gove.
This morning Leadsom set out her pitch for prime minister with a speech on the economy, in which she promised her goal would be 鈥減rosperity, not austerity鈥.
Leadsom鈥檚 comments on HS2 come after

May had previously refused to guarantee the rights of EU nationals to stay in Britain, saying they would be 鈥減art of the negotiation鈥 with the EU on Brexit.
But her team is now saying: 鈥淗er position is that we will guarantee the legal status of EU nationals in Britain as long as British nationals living in EU countries have their status guaranteed too.鈥
