Contractor appointed preferred bidder for 16-storey building in Paddington

Laing O鈥橰ourke has been named preferred bidder by Derwent London for the redevelopment of a 1960s office building in Paddington into a 16-storey new office block.

The proposed 240,000 sq ft building, which has planning consent, will also include two basement levels and two large roof terraces. Laing O鈥橰ourke said the building鈥檚 diagrid design would allow flexible column-free floors.
