Treasury signs off extra funding for hospital redevelopment project
The final business case for the 拢480m redevelopment of Royal Sussex County Hospital project in Brighton by Laing O鈥橰ourke has been approved by the Treasury.
The scheme was orginally budgeted for 拢420m, but was allocated an extra 拢60m by the Department of Health (DoH) in February due to inflationary pressures.
The Treasury has now agreed to provide the extra funds and has signed off the revised business case.
Work on the main hospital building is expected to start in early 2016.
