Construction products giant sells its Australian operations for 拢109m
Construction products giant Lafarge has sold its Australian gypsum business, weeks after it entered talks to sell an 80% stake in its Euopean and South American gypsum businesses.
Lafarge - which merged with former rival Tarmac earlier this year - has sold the Australian gypsum business to Knauf for 鈧120m (拢109m).
Under the terms of the earlier deal Lafarge is set receive 鈧850m (拢748m) for its European and South American gypsum operations and a 20% stake in a new partnership with Etex, subject to approval by anti-trust authorities.
