Contractor has sent letters to all 985 of the division鈥檚 employees
Kier is making 50 staff redundant at its Sheffield division 鈥渁s a result of the economic downturn鈥�, the contractor has confirmed.
Letters have gone out to all 985 of the division鈥檚 employees.
Kier said in a statement: 鈥淎s a result of the current economic downturn, Kier Sheffield is in consultation with trade union representatives regarding a reduction in staff numbers by approximately 50.
鈥淲e will do everything we can to help those affected secure work elsewhere in the business wherever possible. We do not expect this to impact on our service delivery.鈥�
