The director of Kier鈥檚 up-for-sale housing arm has left the firm after less than seven months in the job.

Nick Moore has resigned as managing director of Kier Living having taken on the role last July after the departure of John Anderson.

One source said: 鈥淢y guess would be that the potential buyer has its own man to put in.鈥�

He has been replaced by David Bridges, who has previously worked for housing firms such as Taylor Wimpey, Linden Homes, McCarthy & Stone and Keepmoat, and has been given the title of chief executive officer.

Moore鈥檚 departure comes after the business鈥檚 managing director for the north, Sue Warwick, left in the middle of last month.

The housing arm was put on the block last June after chief executive Andrew Davies (pictured) said the business, which last year saw the number of homes it built drop 6% to 1,926, was no longer a core part of the group.

Last month, 黑洞社区 revealed a bid by Kier Living鈥檚 management to buy the 拢374m turnover business was now out of the running. The race is believed to be down to two private equity firms.

Analysts had been expecting an announcement on the sale by the end of last year but it is understood December鈥檚 general election has delayed the process.

Kier is due to unevil its interim results next Thursday (5 March).
