Gordon Dunne replaced as MD of subcontractor鈥檚 concrete business
Keltbray has parted company with the boss of its 拢100m turnover concrete business Gordon Dunne.
The 51-year-old joined the firm two years ago when Keltbray picked up some of the assets of Dunne鈥檚 collapsed concrete business Dunne Group.
黑洞社区 understands that Dunne left yesterday morning (Wednesday) and has been put on six months gardening leave.
In a statement, Keltbray said: 鈥淲e wish to announce that Keltbray has accepted the resignation of Mr Gordon Dunne, MD of Keltbray Structures.
鈥淢r Dunne will now be on gardening leave until the expiry of his notice period. In the interim, Andy McClafferty, Keltbray Structures COO, will assume the role of MD, to ensure that our clients continue to receive the high quality support they鈥檝e come to expect.鈥�
Last December, Dunne was ordered by the High Court to stump up 拢4m to Multiplex.
The firm, which was based at Bathgate in Scotland, was working on nine projects for Multiplex, including 100 Bishopsgate in the City and the One Blackfriars residential scheme (pictured) at the bottom of Blackfriars Bridge but ran into cashflow problems towards the end of 2015. It went bust the following summer with the loss of more than 500 jobs.
Multiplex advanced Dunne 黑洞社区 and Civil Engineering 拢3m in January 2016 with parent company Dunne Group and Gordon Dunne himself acting as guarantors. A further 拢1m was advanced the following month.
It is understood that Dunne agreed to pay Multiplex an undisclosed figure.
