Support services and building hybrid Interserve has reported a 23% jump in turnover from 拢1.4bn to 拢1.7bn in the year ended 31 December 2007.

Headline profit rose 26% to 拢73.4m, largely thanks to the performance of its restructured facilities management division. Operating profit here rose to 拢27.9m from 拢13.9m due in part to the integration of facilities services group Maclellan.

Construction turnover increased from 拢571m to 拢760m .

Adrian Ringrose, Interserve鈥檚 chief executive, said: 鈥淥ur skills are in areas that are resilient when the economy comes under pressure.鈥�
