Group spirit takes precedence over safety on this Indonesian excavation

Thanks to Chris Sutor for this picture from Indonesia of a makeshift excavation for a building鈥檚 foundations.

He explains: 鈥淭hey were putting in foundations for the mosque and this was a bit of a community spirit with everyone joining in to help.鈥�

But the list of concerns is long enough to leave him out of breath: 鈥淲et ground, raining, no supports on a deep excavation, ladder not tied, more than one person on the ladder facing the wrong way, someone stood on the edge of the hole with no edge protection 鈥︹��
