Lambeth Council approves proposed garden bridge over the River Thames

A proposed 鈥榞arden bridge鈥� over the River Thames has moved a step closer after Lambeth Council approved the plans yesterday.

The Thomas Heatherwick-designed 拢150m bridge now needs the backing of Westminster Council, where the bridge connects on the north bank of the river, with a decision expected next month.

The crossing would link London鈥檚 Southbank with Temple.
