Development will be built between Moorgate and Coleman Street
City of London planners have signed off on proposals by Emrys Architects鈥� to deliver a 5,218 sq m commercial development on a site between Moorgate and Coleman Street.
The practice鈥檚 plans, created for developer CLI Dartriver, which was formed in 2020 by Conran Land, Indigo Invest and London property firm Dartriver, will add an extra 1,367 sq m of space at the site and retain the Victorian fa莽ade of 63 Coleman Street.
Emrys secured consent to demolish the existing buildings onsite 鈥� except for the Coleman Street fa莽ade 鈥� and deliver a new building in 2020.
But the latest incarnation of the practice鈥檚 scheme, thought to be worth around 拢50m, underwent significant changes and was the subject of a new application.
It received committee backing earlier this year and consent was finalised last week. The late twentieth century buildings on the site have already been demolished by Deconstruct with the same firm carrying out basement excavation and concrete frame work.
The upper levels of the new building are set back to create garden terraces.
Others working on the deal include QS Exigere, project manager Capital and Provincial and structural engineer Heyne Tillett Steel.
