Morgan Sindall鈥檚 managing director has left the firm, following profit warning last week
Morgan Sindall managing director Graham Shennan has left the firm, 黑洞社区 can reveal.
Shennan is understood to have departed on Monday, with the firm confirming his departure today.
Shennan鈥檚 exit follows the firm issuing a profit warning last week, after being hit by problems on a handful of construction contracts in London and the South-east.
Shennan has been with the business since 2002.
The firm has also recently made a number changes at a senior level in its construction and infrastructure business.
The firm appointed former Laing O鈥橰ourke director Nick Fletcher to a newly created senior role heading up its civil engineering arm in April, with Fletcher taking overall responsibility for the company鈥檚 civil engineering, infrastructure, tunnelling and utility services businesses as well as aviation.
Fletcher鈥檚 appointment followed that of former Lend Lease manager Pat Boyle in January to head up the construction side of Morgan Sindall鈥檚 construction and infrastructure business.
Both Fletcher and Boyle report directly to Graham Shennan, who was the overall managing director of the construction and infrastructure business.
Morgan Sindall said Boyle and Fletcher would now report directly to group chief executive John Morgan.
A Morgan Sindall Group spokesperson said: 鈥淲e鈥檝e taken a detailed look at how we run the construction and infrastructure division in order to create a more efficient company for growth.
鈥淲e have taken the decision to create a flatter structure, with Pat Boyle and Nick Fletcher reporting directly into John Morgan, group chief executive.
鈥淧at and Nick are working closely together to deliver complex, integrated projects for our clients which draw on our construction and infrastructure expertise.
鈥淎s a result of these changes, the role of managing director of Morgan Sindall plc has been made redundant and Graham Shennan has left the business.鈥
