Deputy mayor of London and culture minister confirm their participation in sustainability conference.

Nicky Gavron, the deputy mayor of London, and minister for culture David Lammy, are the latest speakers to confirm their participation at next week鈥檚 Think event from 1 to 3 May.

Gavron will be giving the opening keynote address on the second morning of the event at ExCel in London鈥檚 Docklands.

She will outline the latest initiatives from both the Greater London Authority and the London Climate Change Agency to make London the world鈥檚 leading city on tackling climate change.

Lammy will be speaking on the morning of the final day of the event, Thursday 3 May, focusing on the important cultural aspects of sustainable development.

Other speakers include Al Gore, the former US vice president and maker of the Oscar-winning documentary An Inconvenient Truth. He will be giving a 鈥渃arbon-free鈥� keynote speech via a satellite link from the US.

English Partnerships will be exhibiting at the event, along with more than 90 companies including Hammerson, Gleeds and CB Richard Ellis.

Major UK retailers including Tesco, Sainsbury鈥檚 and Asda will also be represented.

Think has been launched by 黑洞社区鈥檚 parent company CMPi to help prepare the built environment to meet the economic, social and environmental challenges of the future.
