Firm鈥檚 building division picks up two major deals in the south and a framwork spot in the north

Galliford Try鈥檚 building division has picked up two contracts worth a combined 拢43m and a major framework in the north of England.

The firm has reached financial close with the Education Funding Agency for the 拢21.7m Harris Invictus Academy in Croydon.

The secondary school will accomodate up to 1,150 pupils and feature a sports hall, main hall, activity studio, dining area, library, music room, reception area as well as a multi-use games areas, sports pitches and an external play space to the rear of the site.

Galliford Try has also picked up a 拢21.3m Accident and Emergency facility at Croydon University Hospital. It will consist of 28 emergency bays, an eight bed children鈥檚 emergency department with its own reception and waiting area, a large resuscitation unit and an urgent care centre for minor ailments and illnesses.

Lastly, the company has won a spot on the YORbuild2 construction framework procured by councils from East Riding, Scarborough, Rotherham and Leeds.

The framework covers 91 local authorities in the North over a four year period with a possible two year extension. Galliford Try is included on the lots for projects 拢4m plus, which have a combined potential pipeline of 拢1.9bn.
