Consultant creates new firm, Capita Glamorgan Consultancy, in region

Consultant Capita Symonds has formed a 拢75m joint venture with three Welsh councils to deliver construction and engineering projects in South Wales.

The firm has formed a new company, Capita Glamorgan Consultancy, with Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Councils.

The 15-year partnership will replace Glamorgan Engineering Consultancy (GEC), the existing joint venture owned by the three authorities and will work on 鈥渕ajor highways, transportation, engineering, construction, environmental and related projects鈥, it said.

The 70 staff employed by GEC will be transferred to the new company.
