Shortlist for £45m job to be announced in August
Contractors hoping to build a new concert hall in Edinburgh have been invited to flag their interest.
The £45m project, which has been designed by David Chipperfield Architects, will deliver a new Edinburgh arts complex with a 1,000 seat auditorium at its heart.
Firms wanting to secure the job have until 11 July to register, with a shortlist of at least five contractors expected to be invited to tender on 1 August.

The practice beat Adjaye Associates, Allies & Morrison, Richard Murphy Architects, Swiss practice Barozzi Veiga and Canadian firm KPMB Architects to the £45m project, which will be built behind the city’s category A-listed Dundas House, the registered office of Royal Bank of Scotland.
In addition to the large performance space, the project includes a studio providing rehearsal, recital and recording areas.
The venue, which is being built by International Music and Performing Arts Charitable Trust Scotland, will be the new home for the Scottish Chamber Orchestra.
The client is procuring the project via a two-stage tender with a pre-construction services agreement and an engineering and construction contract.
The Trust has also flagged complexities in the build in its contract notice, which has been published to the Official Journal, relating to to acoustic requirements of the auditorium.
