Acquistion of Fru-Con will boost firm鈥檚 capabilities in the country

Balfour Beatty鈥檚 US division has acquired water and wastewater contractor Fru-Con Construction, for US$20m (拢12m).

It bought the Viriginia-based company, which has annual revenues of approximately US$80m (拢49m) from Bilfinger-Berger.

As well as expanding the firm鈥檚 sector expertise, the acquisition enables Balfour Beatty to grow further in the mid-Atlantic and California markets, as well as other regions including the Carolinas, Georgia, Florida and Texas.
