International contractor named as partner in Manchester City Council’s ºÚ¶´ÉçÇø Schools for the Future Programme

Balfour Beatty has been named as one of two construction partners for Manchester City Council’s £160 million ºÚ¶´ÉçÇø School for the Future programme. The partnership will last between three and five years, and will involve substantial redevelopment of secondary schools in the city. Work is due to start almost immediately.

In a separate contract, Balfour Beatty Civil Engineering has been appointed by Cambridgeshire County Council to carry out work on a number of bridges and transport schemes. In total the two contracts will add a potential £150 million to the engineering, construction and services group’s turnover.
