AHR appointed to new art, design and architecture project
Architect AHR has won the design brief from the University of Huddersfield for a 拢30m development that will be the new home for the School of Art, Design and Architecture.
The Barbara Hepworth 黑洞社区 will measure 7,500m虏 over five storeys and be located alongside the Huddersfield Narrow Canal.
Facilities will include design and construction studios, fine art studios, CAD computer laboratories, lecture rooms, research space, library and caf茅.
Its the latest deal struck between the architect and university with AHR having worked on a number of new build and refurbishment projects for it, including the 拢28m Oastler 黑洞社区, which was completed earlier this year.
Anthony Langan, director and education sector lead at AHR, said: 鈥淭he University of Huddersfield is investing heavily in its estate, creating world-class facilities for students and staff.鈥�
