Canadian firm Journeax B茅dard & Associates bought for 拢2m as Amec continues expansion of its environmental division
Amec has agreed to buy Canadian geotechnical and mining engineering consultant Journeax B茅dard & Associates for 拢2m.
The engineering and project management firm said it would purchase the 20-person consultant based in Montreal, whose specialisms include dam design, permafrost foundations and mine tailings management.
Closure on the deal is expected later this month, at which time 拢1.6m will be paid, with the balance payable within 12 months.
Amec said: 鈥淭he acquisition is consistent with Amec's strategy of geographic and capability expansion in the earth and environmental division and follows 10 other acquisitions in this division since January 2007.鈥�
