Morgan Professional Services is to provide the mechanical and electrical design for a £38 million sports and leisure complex in Basildon.
The engineering consultancy is also to deliver the civil and structural engineering design for the Basildon Sporting Village scheme.
The company says the project will provide state-of-the-art facilities for sports, leisure and education in Gloucester Park, Basildon. It is also being identified as a potential training camp for the 2012 Olympics and Paralympic Games.
The scheme reportedly features a wide range of sustainable, energy-saving features including solar panels, a combined heat and power boiler and a natural ventilation system using ‘wind-catchers’ which channel air into the building. The project goes on site in October and is due for completion in Spring 2011.
