Construction firms who can prove their green credentials are more likely to win work.

According to new research from online environmental guidance website NetRegs.gov.uk, an overwhelming majority of firms are likely to appoint subcontractors who can prove their green credentials.

The research also said that the majority of large construction firms had more confidence in subcontractors with proven green credentials, especially as it reduces the risk of prosecution.

Over 50% of respondents believe that green will save money. The research also revealed that 93% of construction industry bosses said that proof of environmental responsibility will move up their firm’s agenda over the next two years.
