Golden couple eye up the original Peabody home.

Number 80 Easton Square already has one blue plaque, which states that philanthropist George Peabody lived and died in the home 135 years ago.

One day it could have three, as David and Victoria Beckham were spotted viewing the exclusive address recently.

The 19th century philanthopist, whose Trust now house almost 50,000 people in the capital, would doubtless be askance at the prospect of the footballer and his wife adding the £9.75-million property to their portfolio, which already includes ‘Beckingham Palace’ in Herfordshire and £1.5-million holiday home on the Cote d’Azur.
