拢140m PFI cancer centre in Leeds helps it take monthly title 鈥� and consolidate lead in annual table

Bovis Lend Lease was the top contractor in October, winning three contracts worth a total of 拢171m. The biggest was a 拢140m PFI cancer centre at St James鈥� hospital in Leeds.

The firm also won a 拢30m contract to build a four-star hotel at London Bridge in the capital.

Sir Robert McAlpine was close behind, winning four projects together worth 拢158m. The largest were a shopping centre at Princesshay in Exeter, and a sports and entertainment arena at the Millennium Dome, both worth 拢70m.

Kier moved up to fourth place in the annual league after winning projects worth 拢132m in October.

There was no change at the top in the other tables, with numbers one and two remaining the same as last month.
