Measures are needed to help the smaller housebuilders rather than those at the top who are recovering well

social housing

Maybe I鈥檓 missing something (鈥溾, first published on building.co.uk, 22 November), but this doesn鈥檛 seem to be the problem. The large housebuilders that this will benefit are recovering well and appear to be matching their output to reflect weak demand and protect their margins. It is the smaller housebuilders that are struggling with finance, which these measures have done little to address.
