At this time of technological transformation, we take stock of best practice, future trends and how to ‘do digital’ right

The construction industry is under massive pressure to “go digital”. Back in 2017 the sector deal, which released £170m of government cash, set ambitious targets for 2025 to slash project costs by 30% and the time they take by 50% - clearly this is only going to be possible if the industry is prepared to digitally transform itself. And only this month came the consultation on a new building safety regulatory regime, effectively mandating 3D models for high-risk residential buildings – be in no doubt this is the direction of travel, and other building types could follow.
