Celotex’s above-ceiling heating panels avoid the need for radiators in hospitals
Celotex FR4000 insulation boards have been used as part of a heating system at Tameside hospital, near Manchester. The boards were installed above ceiling mounted radiant heating panels to ensure heat is directed downwards into the room. The solution avoids the need for radiators, which take up space and trap dirt. Celotex said its rigid polyisocyanurate boards were better than mineral wool insulation for healthcare use as the product doesn’t provide space for bacteria to breed. The system was installed by S&P Coil Products.
