Authentic leadership is a style where leaders are genuine, self-aware and transparent. Authentic leaders are anchored by their own deep sense of self and awareness of their own and others’ identities, beliefs, and values. It is a leadership style connected with emotional intelligence. It enables leaders to engage their teams with a vision and a role model and interpret and shape the broader environment within which they situated.
