BES Consulting is to invest 拢1 million in putting together a team of surveyors qualified to produce Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) and Display Energy Certificates (DECs).
The firm claims the investment will means it will have 100 surveyors giving it the largest field-based team in the UK.
The company already provides EPC services to most of the UK鈥檚 pub chains. The new investment will allow the firm to diversify into other markets.
Steven Daniels, sales and marketing director at BES Consulting said: 鈥淭here is a chronic shortage of people and companies that can deliver EPCs and DECs on a large scale鈥�.
Daniels said that currently there was a shortage of firms that could deliver energy surveys on a large scale. 鈥淥f those qualified to deliver EPCs, a large number are individuals or new start businesses. These do not offer the bandwidth, national support or ability to support property managers with complementary services which, when blended with an EPC, become very attractive from a pricing perspective.鈥�
