Bennetts Associates’ Potterrow Development for the University of Edinburgh received the British Council for Offices’ National Corporate Workplace Award.
Buro Happold designed the services and acted as structural engineer. The BREEAM excellent rated scheme was described as “eye-wateringly beautiful,” by the judges.
The project was also praised for its contribution to the campus and for respecting its historic World Heritage surroundings.
John Miller, director of Bennetts Associates said he was “delighted” with the award and that the Potterrow development was “incredibly important for both the University and Scotland, helping to attract the best minds from around the world, so it was vital that the building works to stimulate research and learning.”
